Job Summary
- We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Site Engineer to oversee and manage on-site activities for our Agrofield project in Abeokuta.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction and agricultural infrastructure development are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with approved designs and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day site operations and ensure project execution aligns with approved plans and timelines
- Interpret and implement engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Coordinate with contractors, artisans, and project stakeholders on-site
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to management
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues as they arise
- Manage materials usage and ensure proper documentation of site activities
- Support quality control processes to maintain project standards
- Assist in cost control by minimizing waste and ensuring efficient resource utilization
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related field
- 2 – 5 years of relevant experience in construction or agro-infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of site operations and project management principles
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and team coordination abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic engineering tools/software.
